He is an NRA-certified instructor and training counselor in multiple disciplines including pistol, rifle, shotgun, personal protection, and reloading. He has taught over 1,000 students and has attended over 500 hours of training from recognized instructors. Additional credentials include PPCI Certified Pepper Spray Instructor, Utah BCI Certified CFP Instructor, and Certified Martial Arts Instructor. He is an NRA Chief Range Safety Officer and a competitive shooter in IDPA, USPSA, and multi-gun matches.
