Our Process
How Does It Work?
Our system automatically searches the web to find tactical training organizations and their course listings. We visit your website approximately every three weeks to check for new or updated courses and class dates. This frequency will increase over time as we scale.
Our extraction process is sophisticated and successfully identifies most websites, courses, and scheduled dates. However, there are some content formats our system can't parse:
Images with dates — Class schedules embedded as text on images or flyers can't be read by our system.
Interactive calendars — Embedded booking widgets, iCal feeds, or JavaScript-heavy calendar plugins may not be accessible to our crawler.

What Do You Need?
To be listed on Tactical Course Directory, your organization needs a website with a published class schedule — course names, dates, and locations visible as text on the page. This is how our system discovers and indexes your training.
What we can't pull in
On-demand / no set schedule — Sites that only offer “contact us to schedule” or “classes available on demand” without published dates can't be indexed.
YouTube only — Organizations that post training content on YouTube but don't have a standalone website with a course schedule.
Instagram / social media only — Organizations that operate exclusively through social media pages without a dedicated website.

How Can I Improve My Listings?
The more structured and accessible your course information is, the better our system can extract it. Here are some tips:
Keep Everything on One Page
This is the single biggest thing you can do. List the course name, dates, price, and location together on the same page. You'd be surprised how many training sites put the schedule on one page, pricing on another, and the location somewhere else entirely. Our system works best when all the key details are in one place.
Include Dates
List specific class dates as text on your website — not just inside images or booking widgets.
Include Locations
Always list the city and state where each class takes place. This helps students find training near them.
Include Duration & Price
When possible, list how long the class runs and what it costs. This helps students evaluate and compare options.
Use Consistent Formatting
A structured, consistent format for your class schedule makes it much easier for our system to extract accurate data.
Instructors
What About Instructor Info?
We do our best to identify instructors who are listed on your web pages and pull that information into your organization's profile on our directory.
If your instructors are clearly named on your website — whether on a dedicated team page, individual course pages, or an about section — our system will pick them up and include them in your listing.
The clearer and more prominent the instructor information is on your site, the more likely it is to be captured accurately.
