Course Overview

The 5x5 drill is a signature standards drill used to conclude classes, challenging accuracy at distance and up close. Students fire 25 rounds from 5 different distances within strict time limits, with pistol versions at 25 yards and rifle versions at 50 yards. Successful completion earns recognition on the webpage and a 5x5 coin.

Prerequisites

Students must have shot 88% (22 hits) or better and met all time requirements of the 5x5 drill in a previous class.

He is a recognized expert in firearms technical aspects, competitive shooting, and instructor development, and holds multiple instructor and armorer certifications. Mike Davis is an instructor with 14 years of military experience, including an Iraq deployment, and 17 years in law enforcement as a current police chief. He is a certified law enforcement firearms instructor and Glock and AR-15/M16 armorer. Andy Reed is an instructor with 8 years of U.S. Army military police experience, including two Iraq deployments, and has been a sworn officer since 2007. He is a certified firearms instructor and AR-15, Glock, and Remington 870 armorer. Trevor Tobin is an associate instructor and handles video/social media, with 17 years of competitive shooting experience and over 120 credit hours of recent firearms training.
