Adrian Alan

Adrian Alanis the owner and lead instructor of Critical Impact Group LLC and has been teaching firearms and related topics for over 15 years. As a 20-year law enforcement veteran, Adrian has a broad range of experience in personal security, firearms training, competitive shooting, self-defense, tactics, and law enforcement training. Adrian began his law enforcement career in the State of South Dakota and then returned to Wisconsin where he spent the majority of his career working for a larger police department in Southern Wisconsin. Adrian has worked patrol, community policing, crime suppression, as a SWAT team member and sniper, as a firearms, tactics and emergency vehicle operations instructor and field training officer. Over the course of his law enforcement career, Adrian has responded to over 10,000 calls for service, and logged thousands of hours of specialized training. Adrian continues to serve as a part-time deputy in Southwest Wisconsin. From 2014-2021, Adrian and his two partners ran Performance on Demand Shooting, conducting open enrollment firearms training as well as contracted training to law enforcement agencies and military units. In 2015, he was the recipient of theChudwin Award for Patrol Rifle Excellence, for his response during a critical incident in 2013, and his on-going commitment to promoting the advancement of patrol rifle programs and training in law enforcement. In 2018 Adrian left full-time law enforcement to consult on a range construction project at Vortex Optics, the world's largest sports optics manufacturer at the time.  He oversaw the design and construction of the 55,000 square foot indoor shooting & training center at the company's Barneveld, WI location and over the next three years, Adrian led the development and launch of the Vortex Edge shooting school, serving as it's founding Director, overseeing curriculum development, strategic planning and managing daily operations of the indoor range facility as well as another 1,000

John Czerwinski

John is a recently retired 27 year Wisconsin Law Enforcement Veteran of both large urban, and semi-rural jurisdictions.  John has served as a Special Assignments Officer, Field Training Officer, SWAT Team Member, Team Leader and Assistant Commander. He was the lead firearms instructor for his department for over 15 years and worked as a SWAT and Tactical Response instructor for over ten years. As a police academy instructor, he was a Firearms Master Instructor Trainer (MIT)  and a Tactical Response MIT as well as an instructor in Defense and Arrest Tactics (DAAT), Professional Communications (PCS) and Emergency Vehicle Operations (EVOC).  John also assisted the Wisconsin DOJ Law Enforcement Standards Board teach their tactical updates to instructors across the state of Wisconsin for several years. John has taught with Northeast Wisconsin Technical College at the International Law Enforcement Educators and Trainers Association (ILEETA) Conference. John is U.S. Army Veteran serving both as an Enlisted Man and a Commissioned Officer for ten years in both The US Army and the Army Reserves. He is owner of Reality Based Training Firearms and Tactics, and partners with Critical Impact Group on a variety of law enforcement trainings.
