He served for 25 years in the U.S. Navy and is a certified USCCA instructor for multiple disciplines including Concealed Carry and Home Defense, Countering the Mass Shooter Threat, and Women's Handgun & Self-Defense Fundamentals. He is also a certified NRA instructor for Basics of Pistol Shooting, Basic Rifle, and Personal Protection In The Home. His training includes advanced rifle courses, multi-state CCW certifications, and he is a Certified GLOCK Armorer. Ares Defense Institute is a veteran-owned business serving Idaho's Treasure Valley.
